More than an editorial charter, we propose a strong DNA based on a radical typographic layout, two contrasting colours and a series of bespoke 3D illustrations. The research process behind each compass results in a series of micro-architectures inspired by garden madness. From one compass to the next, these unusual 3D structures are made up of the same geometric modules, which can be broken down over the course of a few pages. In the centre of the booklet, attached by a coloured elastic band, the reader is offered a poster which, when unfolded, summarises the contents of the compass through a detailed representation of the architecture in volume. The visual representations are based on conventions used in architecture and 3D design processes.
